Bonnie Clipper DNP, MA, MBA, RN, CENP, FACHE, FAAN


Bonnie founded Innovation Advantage after more than 20 years as a Chief Nurse Executive when she had the opportunity to commit to innovation during her RWJF Executive Nurse Fellowship. Her one-of-a-kind skill-set brings decades of operational experience, bundled with her expertise in nursing innovation and experience in academics. She is a trailblazer and was the first Vice President of Innovation at the American Nurses Association, where she created an innovation strategy to bring over 4M nurses into the innovation space. She has been leading the charge to transition nursing practice into a hybrid (virtual nursing) model and created the Virtual Nursing Academy to deploy virtual nursing across the country.

Ryan brings a wealth of experience in leadership with a focus on patient-centric practice and is an expert in guiding teams and championing change. His unique approach is characterized by a dedication to improvement and consistently seeking out new ways to enhance the quality of care. Whether leading innovative projects or fostering collaboration among colleagues, his objectives are clear, drive positive change in healthcare with virtual care through empathy and evidence-based practice. In his most recent position as a nurse leader, Ryan played a pivotal role in spearheading the implementation of cutting-edge care modalities, his leadership was instrumental in orchestrating effective change management strategies and transforming care on inpatient hospital units and shaping the future of healthcare delivery.


Dominick Pahl, MS, RN

Virtual Nursing Catalyst

Dominick is an accomplished nurse leader with over 12 years of nursing experience spanning the entire care spectrum, from ambulatory care to intensive care. With a solid foundation in both nursing and leadership, Dominick leverages his clinical expertise and experience in the virtual care space to design, implement and support new virtual care delivery models, with a primary focus on Remote Patient Monitoring and Hospital at Home programs. His most recent focus with Mayo Clinic was on the forefront of healthcare, where he played a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and leading virtual care initiatives for the Mayo Clinic Enterprise. Specifically, Dominick was the Nurse Manager and subsequently the Nurse Administrator overseeing the Virtual Nursing, Remote Patient Monitoring, and Virtual Monitoring programs.


Claudia Q. Perez, BSN, MHI, RN

Innovation Strategist

Claudia is a nurse and has nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare. Her expertise is focused on using innovation frameworks to transform healthcare delivery utilizing the principles of Value-Based Healthcare. Claudia has a track record of demonstrating value through design thinking projects, technology showcases, Hackathons, and innovation challenges.



Operations Coordinator

Dr. Shade' Reid is a seasoned Healthcare provider/Nurse Practitioner, healthcare consultant, nurse entrepreneur, innovator, program manager, and emerging capital entrepreneur. She is the founder of HealthCares Group, offering her expertise as a consultant, advisor, and Fractional Chief Clinical Officer for health tech startups seeking clinical expertise. She has over a decade in healthcare and 5+ years of experience in the tech industry and startup ecosystem. She is passionate about supporting nursing innovation and building an impactful innovative ecosystem for the nursing community.

Amy is a Clinical Nurse Specialist who has over 15 years of nursing experience, Amy has emerged as a leader in the integration of virtual care and nursing practice. As a driving force behind the development and advancement of a virtual acute care nursing practice model, Amy has championed the use of virtual technologies to connect nurses with patients in real-time, providing timely, quality, and effective nursing care. Amy has been instrumental in advancing remote patient monitoring nursing practice for patients outside of the traditional healthcare setting.


Erika Rolland, MSN, RN, RN-BC

Erika is skilled in guiding clients and teams through implementing innovative patient care models. With 21 years of comprehensive nursing experience, she has dedicated the past six years to virtual nursing and is passionate about developing and advancing the virtual nursing specialty. Erika has played a pivotal role in reshaping and redefining patient care models to align with the dynamic landscape of virtual healthcare. She has expertise in remote patient monitoring nursing and is skilled in revolutionizing care delivery models to match the unique needs of patients and clinicians.


Emily Schmidt, BSN, RN SANE

Virtual Nurse Educator

Her experience in Virtual Nursing includes assisting with the development of new virtual care delivery models and aiding in technology evaluation and efficiently integrating new technology into the care delivery model. Emily also assisted in educating clinical staff in the process of workflows and virtual care delivery, and creating/deploying the orientation process for nurses. She was also a subject matter expert assisting the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses & Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board develop the Virtual Nurse Certification exam.
